a painter with a design perspective

Maria is a fine artist that graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in 2020 with a BFA in Industrial Design. Her interests in spatial experiences, perception, and visual communication are all reflected through the lens of simple daily experiences. Through her work she investigates the partnership between objects, people and the places they exist within. Even the smallest of gestures, from the shape and positioning of a chair, to the way a figure falls in step with its surroundings, can become a focal point in her paintings.

She is currently based North of the Chicago area; creating an initial body of work while sharing that journey and her art process on YouTube.
